I got this not so much to protect the screen, which seems pretty durable anyway, but to create some 'traction' when using digitizer pen. I got my Samsung slate 7 mainly for use with Photoshop and Illustrator, specifically with the brush and pen tools. And here's where the screen's tough glassiness goes from benefit to minus--it makes the pen sort of 'skate' across the screen (for me at least). And for that the screen protector works great.
To give perspective, I don't like screen protectors in general, and prefer my smart phones with no wrapping. But it was really necessary for this Slate.

This cover does not fit The New iPad. It only fits the iPad 2. I don't think this was made for The New iPad. I ordered this thinking it will work just as well as the other similar cover of my iPad 2 but I can't even slip it in.

I contacted the seller and they were very helpful in resolving the issue. They inadvertently sent the wrong item as they carry both items for the iPad 2 and The New iPad(3rd gen) cover. They responded right away and shipped out the correct item immediately. They were very prompt and was in constant communication with me giving me updates as to the status of the new shipment. I received the correct item today and was very happy with it, they even threw in an extra screen protector. It was as I expected it to be. I just bought an exact same cover + color for my new iPad. Since the new iPad is a mm thicker, it didnt fit at all. Always slid out because it's hard-shell.
